NNSW School Competitions

Every year NNSW Futsal undertakes regional school tournaments to advertise and promote our game and every year more primary and secondary schools are entering the competition. School Futsal has become popular as it doesn’t matter how big or small your school is you can enter a team and unlike the outdoor school soccer competitions where you only play one game if you lose, with futsal you play a number of games and have various pathways for yourself and your school. The generic letter that is sent out each year follows and will give you more information on the program. We ask if you know that your school doesn’t participate in our program to please guide them, to this page. With Many Thanks! NNSW Futsal .

We would like to invite your school to attend your Regional School Futsal Tournament during 2020. This is our 10th year of providing to the schools, the best indoor competition in Australia, with pathways for the elite players. The following table represents the Futsal “Schools” Calendar for the upcoming year. Although court hire has increased, the cost of each tournament has not increased. For primary schools, fees are set at $130 per team and $150 per high school team (see payment section) and cover venue hire, qualified referees, NNSW / AFA schools membership fees, and the winner and runner up medallions.

Many individuals from these championships will be eligible for selection to compete at the 2020 School Nationals to be held in Brisbane, Queensland during the Sept/Oct holidays. With one of the highlight being that, presentation night is held at Dreamworld for all players to attend and enjoy . Australian Futsal Association (AFA) has combined with Northern NSW Futsal (NNSWF) to provide these competitions and ensure all students have an opportunity for players to represent their school at the annual AFA National School tournament, recognised as the biggest and best National School Futsal Tournament in Australia. Quite a number of NNSW students made National School’s teams last year, and if you ask them, they will inform you how they thanked us for the experience. THIS IS THE BIGGEST Futsal tournament in Australia with hundreds of schools attending annually. As well winning State teams can attend the AFA Nationals Championships, held in Brisbane each year.
