UPCOMING 2017/18 Summer season Futsal competitions Information

DEAR NNSW/CENTRAL COAST FUTSAL PLAYER,

The Season is not too far away, and over the next week we will be sending out flyers to clubs and schools, to inform them of our pending season and what we are up too.
NNSW Futsal will continue its association with Australian Futsal Association, with their pathways to State, National and World Cup competitions for both seniors, and as of next year juniors.  Our Rep programs took on a new look, with the Gol Brasil Academy being introduced over winter, and was thoroughly enjoyed by all that attended.

CLUB COMPETITIONS
Our Club competitions last season, were bigger and better than before, and with the introduction of two new centres this coming season, a lot more people will discover Futsal for fun or for a Pathway to Representative opportunities or just to better their skills of the game. Added to the current clubs at Howzat/Genesis, Broadmeadow Hockey, Broadmeadow Basketball, (ONLY for Premier League senior’s men and women), Maitland Basketball, Maitland PCYC, Awaba/ West lakes, we now have a Macquarie Club, playing out of PCYC Windale or TBA and a Port Stephens club playing out of Medowie Christian College at Medowie. Add to this our two clubs on the Central Coast, Central Coast Adventist School at Erina and the PCYC at Bateau Bay with the possibility of another club on the Central Coast to be advised.

NNSW Futsal Registrations fees this year are $45.00 for all players, junior and senior and includes AFA registration and insurance Australia wide at any AFA endorsed venue (while playing an endorsed event) for 12 months, September to August. Clubs may add an administration fee at their discretion.

CLUB FUTSAL YOUTH , WOMENS AND JUNIOR LEAGUES
Junior Club league.
Apart from the Senior State League that started last year, NNSW Futsal will have a CLUB Junior League, involving winning teams from the various clubs, (under 13 to Youth) and or selected players wanting to form a team.

Women’s Futsal league.
We will also be running a Women’s Futsal league with WPL clubs being invited to this program. This program only runs for a short while, but many games will be played in that period, and will be a great gauge for NNSW/Central Coast selections. Central Coast will invite women’s teams from their Premier League to apply. Ages we are looking for are 12, 14, 16, and Youth Women. Women to be part of the State competition. More on this to with exiting news about a youth womens world cup  to be held next year with one of our own to coach this team to be published on our website in the coming weeks. (BEFORE 30TH JULY).

Youth Futsal League.
We will be running a new Youth Futsal League program that will start in mid to late October, run for 6 weeks, and is for Under 9, 10, 11 and 12’s. Similar to the outdoor Sap or Net programs, we want to identify and develop potential elite Rep Players. Trials for these will be held in the first two weeks in September for Newcastle teams only! We are hoping that the NNSW City and Country State teams will come from this group. At this stage, games will be held on a Friday night with two games a night being played so 12 games overall.

For costing and dates on Women’s Futsal league and Junior Futsal league and others go to our web site www.nnswfutsal.com.au

These teams will double up as the State teams, and use the games against Sydney teams as their extra training. Cost for Nationals is $390.00 this year, same as Junior’s.

The new Futsal Junior League trials and the new Women’s Futsal league will be held in the first few weeks in September and will be for the spots not taken up by teams invited from the various clubs.  We will be taking these games into consideration before the selection date pf the state teams. The new Youth Futsal league is opened to any teams from Newcastle, Hunter Valley and Macquarie areas. Please let us know of your interest ASAP as limited numbers per area. CENTRAL COAST not included!

You MUST be registered to trial, and preferably have played in Junior Premier League and/or been in Academy teams. New players wishing to trial for Representative teams are welcomed. Cost for Nationals this year is $390.

As you know AFA is the only Futsal only organisation with pathways for juniors and seniors as well as pathways for coaches. We are very fortunate to have the world cup coaches for
Men’s and Youth women and the assistant coach for for Youth men and the manager of the under 17 all part of our coaching staff.

COACHES COURSE
Representative Coaches, who want to coach at Nationals, should attend NNSW Futsal coach’s final refresher course on Saturday the 16th of September, at Howzat, Darby St, Newcastle from 1pm to 5pm.

You need to pre-register by emailing    The course is free but all coaches, referee etc. will need to pay $45 online registration, just like the players, for insurances. You should attend if you are taking a State team to Schools or Club Nationals as a refresher and update.

Finally for all the local club teams, nothing will change; your competition will be on a week night at a centre near you. Your one registration allows you to play in as many, teams and clubs (Belonging to NNSW FUTSAL) that you wish.

PLEASE, whether you love the sport for fun and fitness or for its great pathways, spread the word at your local club and/or school, and convey to them that Futsal is a sport for all, young and old, beginners or elite , male or female !

On behalf of the NNSW Futsal committee I thank you for all your support and look forward to seeing you for another exciting Summer of Futsal.
